Group Setup (for 10 man)
  • 2 Tanks
  • 2 Healers
  • 6 DPS

Group Setup (for 25 man)
  • 2 Tanks
  • 4-5 Healers
  • 18-19 DPS

Overview:

Basically this fight requires you to split the raid up into 2 separate groups, one taking the left side and one taking the right side.
Each group requires 1 tank, 1 healer (10 man) 2-3 healers (25 man) and the rest dps, and during the fight each group will be hugging up directly on the tank to make healing/dispelling easier.
The fight has only one real "phase" but every 1/3 health he does a special ability which I will call the "Transition phase". So that's

100%-66% > Transition ability > 66%-33% > Transition ability > 33%-0%, lewt.

The Fight:

Main Phase:

One of the tanks pulls, faces the boss towards their group and everyone in that group stacks up on the Tank. The other group goes 1/4 of the way round the other side of the boss and groups up there.
After approximately 12-15 seconds he will do a Frontal Cone ability, Meteor Slash, which does a set amount of fire damage that is split over the amount of people within that cone, and inflicts a debuff lasting around 20 seconds that increases fire damage taken by 100%, very similar to Brutallus.
At this point, the tank in the other group needs to taunt the boss, ready for that group to take the next conal attack. These happen approximately every 15 seconds, so you need to alternate them between the 2 groups and heal up the damage on that group. (See Diagram Below)

As well as the frontal cone attack, he also casts a magic debuff, Consuming Darkness, on 3 (10 man) / 8 (25 man) random people which acts similarly to Infest, in that it deals small amounts of damage at first, but that increases very fast. This debuff is dispellable (it's a magic effect), and as you'll be grouped up it's best to have a priest (any spec) cast mass dispel on each group when he throws out the debuffs. These tend to come every 20-25 seconds.

This phase is very easy, as the tank damage (in this build at least) is very low and barely worth worrying about really. 4 healers are plenty but mabye 5 is better to be safe for the dispells as that debuff can hurt if not dealt with fast.
He has around a 6 minute enrage timer, which can be tough as he has over 60 million health, however unless you have unnecessary deaths this shouldn't be a problem.

That's pretty much it for the Main Phase.

Transition Ability:

Once the boss reaches 66%/33%, he does an ability called Fel Firestorm. The firestorms spawn quite often and they will land where the person they target was standing when they spawned, so if you keep mobile they shouldnt hit you much, if at all.
Where the meteors land, a patch of fire spawns and both the meteor's fall damage + the fire do reasonable damage (nothing too severe), but there are alot of them so they can be dangerous, especially when people are grouped up.
This is channeled for about 20-25 seconds and then the fires despawn and it goes back into the Main Phase again.

Rinse and repeat and the boss dies, dropping 2 items (10 man) and 6 items (25 man).
The loot list seems very similar to VoA at the moment, in that it drops Gloves/Legs of PvP set / Tier 11
as well as the pvp necklace/belt/boots etc.
Also (although bugged) it seems to give 70 Valor Points (10 man) and 960 (25 man)...Tho the weekly cap is 1250 and the 960 capped me, so im not sure if 960 is the full value. Kills after that didnt reward any either, so no way to check. The fight is currently bugged so you can repeatedly farm it..

To see a video of this boss, please check out the videos below, The top video was recorded by Sheya of For the Horde, and the Bottom one is from Diamondtear from Paragon.
